It has ever been my observation, that in matters of domestic economy no less than in the drawing-room, true worth is frequently to be found where one least expects it; and so it proved upon my recent visit to this small establishment in our neighbourhood, which, though wanting in the spacious aisles and ostentatious displays of those larger emporia that so proudly proclaim their superiority, possesses merits of a more solid and enduring kind. This unassuming shop, modest in size and unadorned by the glittering temptations of modern commerce, yet offers provisions at prices so reasonable as to excite wonder in any lady accustomed to the dearer demands of the greater markets. One might almost suppose the proprietors possessed of some secret art of thrift, so happily do they contrive to supply the necessities—and even the little luxuries—of the table without imposing upon the purse those heavy exactions which larger concerns seem to regard as their natural right. Among the several articles that caught my particular notice was a packet of Filipino hopia monggo, a confection I had not before encountered in so pure a form. These small, golden pastries, supple and delicately layered, conceal within them a filling of mung beans—those humble yet nourishing legumes—sweetened with nothing more elaborate than sugar, and enclosed in a pastry whose flakiness owes everything to careful hands and wholesome shortening, rather than to the dubious artifices so often employed elsewhere.

this place is the best, I love it! I always find what I need, and the only place in mid westchester I've found pandan extract. staff is friendly and quick to assist when asked but otherwise will leave you to peruse the aisles at your pace. and on the weekends get there early for the fresh dim sum!

Great Asian supermarket. The owners are really nice and helpful. They have hard to find ingredients that you can't get at H-Mart or anywhere else around here. Now I can cook all the Asian dishes I see on YouTube.

Enjoyed grabbing a wide variety of dim sum dishes here freshly unpacked weekend mornings around 10 am. Great place to get Asian groceries, especially for some Southeast Asian ingredients I can't find at HMart. New owners are friendlier than previous ones.

Friendly family-owned market. Dim sum on weekends and plenty of pan-Asian options including Filipino pastries. This is the only place in Westchester I know of that carries fresh rice noodles!! Perfect for pad see ew or ho fun.

To be honest I didn’t expect that much at this grocery but there is a wide variety of asian food/things that you can buy here! The grocery is huge! the interior is old and everytime I go here I felt depressed lol! Because of the lighting and the mood of the store but there is a lot of good stuffs here! Things and food that I love are: Wide variety of Filipino foods! They have ice cream, breads, warm foods! Snacks are a lot too! I can find some of the food here that are not in a typical asian store like Hmart or groceries in Queens! Will I buy here? Yes af course! It is kinda far if you live in the city, you need a car. There is a parking on the front so it is not a problem. Good varieties of food!!
